Mark of Fitness, founded in January 1993, is the wholly owned subsidiary of NISSEI. NISSEI is a Japanese prime manufacturer of blood pressure monitors. NISSEI, founded in 1950, began production of blood pressure monitors in July 1965 and has produced electronic blood pressure monitors since September 1975.

In addition to being the one of the world's largest producers of electronic blood pressure monitors, NISSEI is known for their production quality. To help ensure that quality level, their factories are certified to the ISO 9001 standard.
